Agam Regency

Template:Infobox Regency of Indonesia Agam is a regency of West Sumatra, Indonesia. It has an area of 2,232.30 km² and a population of approximately 419,800 people. The capital is Lubuk Basung.

Lake Maninjau, a crater lake, is a well-known landmark of the regency, and is used as a site for paragliding.

Administration

Agam is divided in 15 subdistricts (kecamatan):

Ampek Nagari, Banuhampu, Baso, Candung, IV Angkat, IV Koto, Kamang Magek, Lubuk Basung, Matur, Palembayan, Palupuh, Sungai Puar, Tanjung Mutiara, Tanjung Raya, and Tilatang Kamang

There are 81 villages (nagari).
