The Berkshire Hills are located at the western extreme of Massachusetts and form a continuous range that contain the state's highest peak, Mt. Greylock, at 3,487 feet.

In general, Berkshire County is primarily know as the home of Tanglewood, the summer showcase of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Red Lion Inn and Williams College.
