Bottineau County is on the Canadian border, south of Manitoba, in the Turtle Mountains region of the north central part of North Dakota, with a population of 7,643 people. It has an area of 1,669 square miles. Its county seat is Bottineau. Botttineau county has 15 towns and 43 townships.
