Bran it is a small town, near Brasov, where it is the Bran Castle witch is well known as Dracula's Castle.

Romania was the defence wall for Western Europe against Ottoman Empire in The Medieval Times (during 1300 - 1800). This is why along Carpathians Mountains there are Castles, Fortified Churches and Citadels.

Hunyad Ianos lived at the same time (15the Century) with Vlad Tepes Dracula in the majestous castle in Transylvania named "Huniazi Castle".

At time when Castles of Loire Valley hardly started to rise, at times when Alcaz Castle from Toledo, the biggest city in Spain, almost was finished, in 1377, the king Ludovic I de Anjou, began the construction of Bran Castles, to fortify the one of the kingdom gates against ottoman danger.

In 1382 The castle already was finished. Ten years late, the castle has belonged to the voivode of Romanian country, Mircea cel Batran. After his death, the castle has belonged to princes of Transylvania.

Vlad Tepes, well-known as Dracula (The Devil), made this castle his residence.
