Goldfields (Western Australia)
From World travel guide
The Goldfields region covers about one quarter of Western Australia. It's a region of contrast -- the North with its mining activities and the South with its agriculture. This region has borders with the Pilbara to the North, the Mid West to the Northwest, the Heartlands to the West, the Great Southern and Esperance regions to the Southeast, the Indian Ocean to the South and South Australia to the East.
