By car
Ironbridge Gorge is on the River Severn, 5 miles (8km) south of Telford in Shropshire. Take junction 4 from the M54, and follow the brown and white traffic signs.
By train
Telford Central rail station(08457 484950) is 5 miles (8km) north of Blists Hill Victorian Town.
By bus

Get around
A regular shuttle bus service(01952 200005) operates throughout the Gorge every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday. This bus also has limited links to the Rail Station.

Oliver's Vegetarian Bistro (right by the bridge) has an excellent selection and serves both lunch and evening menus. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere and delicious food.
Various expensive pubs and non-descript Curry houses / Italian restaurants. Also a Thai place next to Oliver's (see above).

There are a large number of small inns in or near Ironbridge. You may want to have reservations in the summer.

The Calcutts House (Calcutts Road, Jackfield, Shropshire; Tel: 01952 882631)is a well run 18th century home with kind hosts. It is located a little outside the main town (20 minute walk), very close to the tile museum. Choose from 6 rooms with prices between 40 and 70 GBP.
