Kunnamkulam is a city in India. It is 24 km from Thrissur, on Kozhikode highway. It can also reached from Guruvayoor, which is 8 km away.

Nearest railway station is Trichur in the east, Guruvayoor in the south and Kuttipuram in the north

Nearest airport is Cochin airport (Nedumbassery) which is about 75 kms away.

Private and state owned uses can get you here from Thrissur, Ernakulam, Guruvayoor, Kozhikode, Palghat etc.

Private tourist taxi operators are also available. The charges are about 1USD for every 3.5kms covered.

From the kunnamkulam bus stand if we take a 10 minutes journey towards guruvayoor there is an old simhasana church.which is 900 years old. Three wheeled motorised taxi called Auto-Rickshaw is available in town and they take you to a distance of 10 kms for a reasonable fare of 2USD. Another christian land mark is a tiny church called Malabar Independent Syrian Church Thoziyoor which is about 10kms from Kunnamkulam. The place is at the border betweem old Travancore and Malabar.

About 10 km north of Kunnamkulam is Pazhanji. A market known for arecaunut (Beetel Nut). This is the market where the farmers sells the dried areccanut to the traders and the traders take the product to the final destination in North India. october 2nd of every year the village celebrates the local church festival and the celebratins are colourful with lots of fireworks and processions with music and artists along with decorated elephans. Almost fifty decorated elephants gather on this occassion.

About five kms towards Wadakkanckerry is a place called Pannithadam a place from where old gold coins were dug out recently and is now a place of archiological interest
