Leenane

Situated on the edge of a fjord (The Killary), Leenane is an idealic and pretty Irish village in Connemara in the Republic of Ireland. It was chosen as the location to film the screen adaption of John B Keanes "The Field". It has a couple of small pubs, which are packed with locals most of the time, and a few small restaurants too. It also is the site of a "Heritage Centre", which offers local arts and crafts, and a bit of history too.
