The Lesser Sundas are administratively divided into three parts. From west to east:

- East Nusa Tenggara
- Flores (Indonesia)
- Komodo
- The Solor and Alor Archipelagos
- Sumba
- West Timor
- East Timor — the independent eastern half of the island of Timor
[edit]
See
- Komodo dragon. The Komodo dragon, which lives in Rinca and Flores as well as Komodo, is the largest lizard in the world. A park ranger places a dead goat by the trail, then gets inside the cage with you and you watch the dragons arrive and eat, or you watch them walk around while he tells you about them.

Stay safe
When in dragon territory, stay in large groups or on the other side of the fence from the dragons. Being a lone human is a capital offense among dragons, who do not hesitate to punish it with lethal infection.
