London/Kings Cross
From World travel guide
Kings Cross is a well-known district of north central London. Its importance derives from the three main London railway stations located there - Kings Cross, St Pancras and Kings Cross Thameslink. (so close together, they are virtually one!) - and the fact that a large number of main roads converge at this point.
Although more than a little run down in places, having some reputation for the seedier side of London life, Kings Cross is nonetheless going through the early stages of a major renewal cycle. New investment is flooding into the area, encouraged - no doubt - by the planned opening of the new Eurostar terminal at Kings Cross Station in 2007, and the new Tube station. This makes the area the future main point of arrival and departure for millions of European travellers. Watch this space!
