Manchester is in New Hampshire, USA. It is considered by some to be "the drinkingest town in New Hampshire."

Get in

  • By air: The Manchester Airport is a convenient way to get to the city and much of southern New Hampshire.
  • By Bus: Manchester is served by Vermont Transit from MontrĂ©al, and Concord Trailways from Boston.
  • By Car: The city is right on Interstate 93, and Route 3.

Get around

  • By Foot: Downtown (Elm St.) has become more walkable as of late, much of the sites are withing walking distance.
  • By Bus: The Manchester Transit Authority has service in the city. It's typically hourly and fares are $1. It stops at around 6pm, though.

  • Downtown offers many smaller shops.
  • South Manchester (The Shopping District) is home to many large chains and a large mall.
  • As with the rest of New Hampshire, there is no Sales tax.

  • There are a lot of restaurants on Elm Street.

Drink

  • Manchester (nicknamed "Manch-vegas" by the locals), is all about partying. A short walk on Elm Street will bring you past many bars and restaurants you can get drunk at, after you see a concert at the Verizon Arena.
