Melbourne/City of Melbourne
From World travel guide
The City of Melbourne represents the city's regularly grid-planned Central Business District and historical core, located north of the River Yarra. South of the river, the Southbank is also understood by most to form part of the central city.
These days, the central City of Melbourne is usually separated out for travellers into 15 'precincts', each possessing its own attractions and character.
