Notable stops include:

  • Red Bank is a "hip city" full of antique shops and cafes, it is pleasant to stroll around.
  • Long Branch is a nice little sea side community, and a former presidential retreat.
  • Asbury Park is steeped in history. This town was an early 20th century Victorian resort, a rough and tumble rock and roll town where the famous Stone Pony saw the first performances of Bruce Springsteen and became symbolic of failed urban re-development in the 80's and early 90's. Now the town is on the mend and is the next trendy area in central New Jersey, it can still be a little rough at night.
