Get in
Get around
Mount Putuo is well-served by minibuses that can take you to the main attractions on the island for a small ticket price. If the weather is good however, the island is better explored on foot, especially if you want to avoid the crowds. Many small pavilions and temples lie off the main road, and are interesting to explore. After a day of walking though, the buses may offer a welcome rest for your feet.
Bus signs are usually in Chinese characters and pinyin, so if you need to, write down the name of your destination before you set out.
