Austria is divided into provinces. One of these provinces is Upper Austria. In turn Upper Austria is subdivided into 4 regions. One of these 4 regions is the Muehlviertel. The Muehlviertel is the part north of the river Danube.

The Muehlviertel is a very hilly area and known for agriculture. There is no industry here and the area is very rural.
