South Pesisir is divided in 11 subdistricts (kecamatan):

Basa IV Balai Tapan, Batang Kapas, Bayang, IV Jurai, Koto XI Tarusan, Lengayang, Linggo Sari Baganti, Lunang Silaut, Pancung Soal, Ranah Pesisir, and Sutera.
