Szczecin (German: Stettin) is maritime port city in Western Pomerania, Poland.

Understand
History of the town starts in 7th-8th century, when first Slavic settlement was estabilished. In 10th century area was incorporated into Poland. Later, control over the town was changing (between Poland, Denmark, Germany, Sweden and even France), to get to Germany (as Stettin) in 18th century and to Poland after the end of World War II.
