Understand
After the First World War ended in 1918, Serbs, Croats and Slovenes formed a new nation, renamed Yugoslavia in 1918 and then "the Federal Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia" in 1945. Dissatisfied with the exercise of power of the majority Serbs, lead to civil war and the breakup of the country during the last decade of the twentieth century.
