Zarauz (Basque:Zarautz) is a nice holiday resort in Guipuzcoa province in the Basque Country of northern Spain.

Get in
It is quite easy to get in Zarauz by different way of transports from the capital of the province (Guipuzcoa), San Sebastian
By train
There is quite a frequent train (usually each 30 mins) line (euskotren) which departs from San Sebastian. Note that this train company is not the same one as the one which connects San Sebastian with big cities from Spain and France; so the train station is different. It takes 30 mins to arrive from San Sebastian Have a look at its webpage www.euskotren.es
By Bus
The same company as the train one has every hour buses to Zarauz from San Sebastian. There other buses in summer which get to Zarauz from Pamplona
By car
It takes 15 mins by car to arrive to Zarauz from San Sebastian by the highway A-8; which connects San Sebastian and Bilbao

However move along the coast a few miles to the small fishing village of Getaria for wonderful fish restaurants. Everything from grilled sardines,superb turbot to live big crayfish. Magic ... well worth a visit.
