Siuntio

Siuntio is in Southern Finland. Siuntio is a small place 50km west of Helsinki situated on the King's Road (Kuninkaantie). The Finnish national poet Aleksis Kivi lived in Siuntio.

Get in
- Car: take the motorway 1 from Turku or Helsinki until the Lohja exit. From Helsinki follow the southwestern motorway to Hanko.
- Train
- Cycle: choose small country roads well out of the way only like the 1130 which is part of the Kuninkaantie.

- Siuntio Bed & Breakfast, [1]. A lovely countryside farm equipped to accommodate single travellers or whole families, if needed for all their holidays. The lady running the place speaks all sort of languages (if needed with her hands) and makes you feel welcome.
- Siuntio Spa, [2]. A large hotel with sports facilities. Originally built at as a rehabilitation center for disabled war veterans, in a post war architecture style featuring loads of concrete.
